Make it stand out

I’m Ian, a filmmaker, editor, and storyteller with a knack for wearing many hats (figuratively, though I do look good in actual hats). I grew up in a small river town where I bought my first guitar by mowing lawns and selling walnuts...because hustle, even back then. Inspired by Jackass and Spike Jonze, I started making films with a VHS camera, editing on VCRs, and dreaming big.

These days, I’ve climbed the ranks from production assistant to director, with stops along the way as an editor, producer, and Scout Master. I’ve filmed across the globe from Patagonia to Shanghai chasing authentic human stories and trying to capture the magic of real life with a lens.

When I’m not behind a camera, I’m probably tinkering with sound design (thanks to a lifelong love of music) or having deep thoughts about aesthetics and epistemology (Google it, it’s fun). I’ve been told I’m a decent human and a very good quality dad and husband, glowing reviews I’ll happily take.
